| MINI2 Master | High milers We all know that the MINI is a great car, albeit one with a number of niggly problems. Hopefully BMW is working to improve its quality control. What we don't really know yet is how robust the car is over time. Firstly, I was wondering whose MINI here has the highest mileage. Secondly, of those with relatively high mileage on their cars, have any of you seen problems attributable to wear and tear? |

Offline | Probably not a lot for MINI One owners, but I've got 13,500 on my 2002 MINI Cooper (for the record, it had 2,500 on it when I bought it as a DEMO). I drove to Detroit, then to DC and back home to Florida two weeks ago. Nearly three thousand miles in ten days! |

| MINI2 Regular | While I don't drive 10,000 mi. in 3 days (HOLY MOLY) I do drive a lot. I had a girlfriend in Orlando,FL and drove from Jax to there twice a week for a few months. She's now got over 15,000mi on her... in less than 6 months! Luckily no major problems yet. Minor ones, but nothing too "MINI" related. I'm worried about the warranty now. It'll be gone in one year of ownership and I'll have 4 years of payments left! scary2002 Indi Cooper - white roof/rims,prem pkg,DSC,heated sport seats, fog lts. |

| MINI2 Master | Do you only get one year's warranty in the States? I was thinking we had a raw deal over here in the UK, but with the huge premiums some of you are paying over list price and the lack of warranty, I wonder if we are getting such a bad deal. Do you have the TLC package in America? |

Offline | We get 4 years or 50K miles on broken stuff, and the equivalent of TLC (free oil changes + maintence) for 3 years or 36K. You can get the 4th year of maintence for $350. He said he was worried about the 1 year, since at that rate of milage, you would exceed 48K in only one year, and it'd be all gone. Magic 8-ball was correct. All be in awe of Magic 8 ball. |
