I want a fast Mini

I have an '03 "S" and I love it. I want a bit more performance, both engine and suspension. I want a factory car not a tuner. I also prefer the '06 and earlier body. So I'm thinking of looking for an '06 JCW. I'm looking for advise so I can be an informed buyer. I have heard that there are real JCW's and also JCW "trim" packages. Also "GP" models.

Can someone explain the various packages and performance options that were available and how to tell them apart?

Just my 2p - I'm sure others might disagree!

I have a 05 JCW dealer fit. You will find that most JCW210 fits only really kick out about 197bhp, there are lots of threads about it.

I know you say you don't like modded - but essentially that is what a dealer JCW is - it's just a dealer monkey did it rather than a place that specialises in tuning. If you love your current mini and it hasn't let you down, I'd just spend the money on a reduced pully/ airbox/ exhaust and you will get more return than the JCW kit.

But In the end it's personal choice - so go play!!!!
