Mini Cooper S sat nav prob help

Hi guys, new to this forum, brought a nice Cooper S in gorgeous blue, its got build in sat nav but when entering the destination it takes you the wrong place plus its very slow when you view the maps, any restore or reset way on rebooting this please? thanks

i do believe there is a way to reset the sat nav. not having had it before i cannot help any further but i do suggest you refer to your handbook

Best fix is to upgrade to latest software and go from there.

If your msc is pre October 2006 it will be a mk4 DVD or mk3 CD (per 2003 I think). You can tell if it is mk4 as the unit has a DVD logo on unit under drivers seat (RHD) and disk is likely to be DVD but mk4 can take CD maps as well. The latest software is v32 and will update unit to latest version. I have the mk4 and my software version is 4/100 using the v32 disk.

Head over to xoutpost.com sat nav forum is best bet as this has a dedicated forum for the BMW sat nav which has lots of information on upgrade, diagnostics and features. For the mk4 the latest map is BMW high Europe 2012. You can get this from local dealer but isn't cheap.
