| Mini is optimum height to sustain damage from gritters Just heard back from Mini (BMW) Customer Service who state that spontaneous window shattering is not common and cannot be proven that it is due to faulty parts or workmanship (pretty smart as they know I can't piece the window back together). However, they did say that the mini (it is 9 days old and has not been within 100 yards of a gritter) may have suffered a hairline crack from a gritter as it is of the appropriate height to sustain such damage. It would be interesting to know if drivers of other cars of similar height experience similar problems. Beware all current and prospective Mini owners you have been warned........... |
