| Clicking sound under load Sorry to post a new thread, but I looked around other posts and couldn't find anything quite like this one. My 04 Manual MC 5spd with 83K on it just started making a very odd noise that is starting to worry me. I am getting a clicking sound that changes pitch as I go from one gear to another and I get it whenever I let off the gas too. There is a brief moment when the sound goes away when there is no load on the engine/trany. I am afraid it is in the Trany! A friend who is a mechanic said it sounded like a Throw out bearing Does anyone have any idea what it could be? Any help wuld be greatly appreciated!!! Also, does anyone know of a good Mini mechanic in the Baltimore area (other than a dealer)? Thanks...Bill |
