Canada central locking issues

Being a new used mini owner is a hoot, like driving a go-cart with more power than a jet plane. I have a 2004 MCS with 63k on it and love it. I am having a problem with the locking system. Suddenly, nothing works, with the key fob the lights still flash like the car is locking but does not lock nor unlock, nothing not even the rear lift gate. When i tried the dash switch, same thing, i can unlock the drivers door with the key but thats the only way. I am a part time mechanic so have done the normal diagnostics such as checked all the fuses and all appears okay. Any hints, clues or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, The fireman

read that

seems to be their problems are more in the door itself, mine seems to be a problem perhaps with the computer that operates that system, not sure though, as i said even the dash swutch doesnt work and all locks are affected not just one or the other, but thanks for the tip.
