Hi Im new to this site and would really appreciate some help. I have just bought an 02 mini one auto. It stalls when started cold and the EML light comes on and then upon driving it in drive function the gears slip when you accelerate. However when it's put into manual mode it doesn't always do it. I do not have a clue what this could be. Any ideas at all? Thanks
There may be a chance it is just stalling as it is cold, when starting apply a few revs, just to get it running, it should stay on.
Your mentioning the gears are slipping, this may be actually as its a CVT. not an issue but the nature of the transmission itself, have a search around the forum for CVT and you will see what I mean
