| MINI Cooper S 2002 Passenger Door Removal (From The Inside!)
Happy new Year all,
Need some help on this and would be grateful for any useful advice.
I need to remove the passenger door on my 2002 Mini Cooper S.
The outside latch on the passenger door handle is broken and loose and offers no resistance when pressed. There is no mechanical dis-enagement noise of the lock.
The inside door release lever does not enage and cannot be used.
A number of other mini sites has suggested removing the door trim card to gain easier access to the internal door mechanisms.
This has been done, but still the door remains firmly shut.
I have tried disconnecting the battery, just in case the lock servo can be reset by a simple removal of power. No joy!
