gear box

Hi new here already said hi in new members area

I only just picked up my mini cooper s and on way back it did seems stiff putting it up the gears, i dont know much about cars or the mini and was wondering if this is normal or an issue?

it goes in to gear no issue pulls fine no slip if this helps?

It may be that the gearlever selector cables and or linkages need some lubrication which is not unusual. Even replacement of the cables themselves is not a big job if necessary. A change of gearbox oil also often helps even though BMW say their gearboxes are 'filled for life', it will also extend the life of the gearbox outside of any warranty.

Thanks for the info the car has been stood for months I wonder if that's the issue, will take it to garage and see what they say )) hope its ok ..
