Offline | 5 speed vs: 6 speed design I've been reading all the Mini Cooper booklets that came with my wifes' Cooper etc. including the Mini book that's out and I'd like to know if anyone could describe the technical difference between the two manual transmissions. Why does the Getrag show two final drive ratios? I'm assuming it has to due with getting 6 speeds into the same volume as the 5. Is this something special to Getrag transmissions in general? Something is unusual with this design. Thanks for your help. |
