2004 Mini S Spare Tire

I originally had run flats with my 04 Minis Cooper S but was wondering if there is a location for an emergency spare tire? I can't seem to locate a possible location.

Hello...MINI dont fit spares as standard, but you can retro fit one - I did it and its really easy. If you use the forum search and enter "spare wheel", there is a great post of exactly how do do it and what you need. The parts are a little pricey, but check ebay etc and you may get them cheaper. I think a spare is essential for peace of mind if nothing else !
good luck

Here is a link to the post mentioned:

However as you have a Mini Cooper S with twin rear exhaust boxes and battery in the boot/trunk there is no space for the Mini Cooper/One spacesaver spare underneath........so many S owners carry the spacesaver in the boot/trunk if required.

I gather its where you will put it on a Cooper S as depending on the exhaust system fitted might prevent it going underneath the car, and putting it inside will use up most of your luggage area?
You could put on in a top box on the roof but that wont do much for your mpg either.
