Hi there
I am new on here and need some advice/reassurance......
I recently bought a countryman SD All 4 which was a demonstrator with 3700 miles on the clock. I traded my petrol BMW 130 i in and wanted something with better fuel consumption.
Having decided on the countryman still wanted a bit of power with economy. Stated MPG combined 57 mpg.
Having driven it for 430 miles (one full tank) the average MPG is showing 42. I was hoping for more. My mixture of driving has been about half motorway driving (but with 4 adults in the car) and the rest 7 mile trips with one of two adults. Am I asking too much and do you think 42 MPG is acceptable? I have been told by mini that the car will get more economical as it gets older being a disel engine?? Is this correct. Any advice gratefully received. :-)
hallo
Sorry, I am not used to work with MPG, but I can say that the same car in my case goose 570 km using 38,3 l diesel. I already twice check it. It is near to 6,7 l per 100 km
