Unhappy How much this will cost to repair?

this guy hit my car while it was parked. Came to see my poor car. He was nice enough to leave a note and his insurance info. Now I am meeting with insurance agent later this week so he can give me the estimate.

How much do you think it will cost to repair everything? Should I have them remove the dent or ask for new quarter panel?

I'm guessing a new door (well, skin at least) and a new quarter. How old is the car as it may be a costly repair?Mad though it seems, I've seen earlier MINIs written off for less.

Go get a quote from a repair garage. That's what they normally want.

It could be pulled out with the specialist equipment they have these days, but the time in labour to do it has to be costed against that to fit new panels.
I would insist that BMW MINI do it also with genuine parts.
Probably end up costing about 4 grand or so to fit a new door skin and rear quarter panel?
You dont get much in terms of cost in a bodyshop these days, especially the main dealer type, cost £300 to get rid of a scratch!

As said get an independent quote from a couple of good local bodyshops using new panels before accepting the insurance agents quote. You can insist on using your own choice of bodyshop if you wish to do so.

The damage is unlikely to be structural for a parking impact and from your photos looks like it is just outer panel damage, so should be easy and still economic to repair on a 2006 MINI. There are many clever techniques which may mean some or all of the original panels can be repaired without lots of body filler! The repair cost will however probably be more than you might think, once labour, materials, vat and courtesy/hire car are all included!
