Aero Kit Question

I've been searching for specific information on the aero kits but with little success so was wondering if you people could help.

When looking at images of the kits which are fitted to minis, it appears that there is a reflector or side light on the black edge of the bumpers at each side, orange ones on the front bumper and red ones on the rear. I think the pics I have seen have been american models as I have not come across any on pics of minis in this country with them fitted.

Are they lights or reflectors?
Can they be fitted to the kits supplied in this country? If so, are they legal?
Are they considered to be cosmetically appealing? Or naff?

As usual, any help appreciated.

They are US spec arches.

They are reflectors but you can add wiring kits and bulbs to light them up.

Mikey at New Mini Stuff has the various bits and bobs to do this.

I Personally quite like them and think it looks quite different. I may consider them in the future but I have better things to spend circa 300 quid on!

Am I right in thinking (according to the DIY and FAQ section) that replacement arch sections for the bumpers are required? And the ones supplied are not suitable for the aero kits?

The arch trim remains the same (no need to replace) - the pieces of plastic trim around the bumpers and skirts, which are obviously different, are included as part of the kit.
