The new owner of our 2003 Cooper CVT Auto has just disappeared into the sunset with their new car. We got a fair price, not too low, not too high, I'd say about bang on for the car which had a very nice spec and has always been well looked after (it showed).
I've recommended this forum to the new buyers, hope they'll sign up so we can keep in touch with the old girl.
I'm off to Teeside tomorrow (4hrs 45 mins on 3 trains) to pick up the replacement, a 2010 LCI Facelift Cooper S Auto with Chili & Media pack, Eclipse Grey, centre armrest, rear PDC, gear paddles & climate.
Then I'll have the nice 160 mile drive home.
I've read some threads about distance you should be prepared to travel for the right car, so there you have it - we drove up earlier in the week to view and test. There aren't many Auto Cooper S about, especially facelift cars - there were 2 in the country at time of buying - so you must be prepared to travel if you have a certain spec in mind.
