DIY strange engine sound after had new powerflex bushes and engine mounts

Like i have mentioned in the title had new front bushes and engine and gearbox mount changed at the same time and when picked the car up it sounds noisier from the engine and like harsher and dirtier (if you know what I mean) i can feel more vibrations from the engine but that something I was expecting.
Any reasons why after it was fitted car sounds different? I know that the air box was removed to fit gearbox mounts.
I have inspected the airbox and all hoses going around it and everything seams fine.

Vibrations and noise are normal after having that all changed out, especially if you used powerflex bushings. I had same problem you will not notice it after a week or two.

2004 MCS JCW, 15% pulley, Dinan CAI, MSD ignition & wires, Mynes V2 header, TSW rear control arms, H-sport front and rear sway bars, H-sport lowering springs, Powerflex bushings all around, modified Forge intercooler, M7 STB , ATI Damper

Is the rubber gaiter fitted properly where the steering column goes through the floor?
If they have been messing about with the subframe it might have been displaced slightly, this will cause the car to seem noisier inside.

I know he had to drop the subframe because bolts on bushes were corroded and he had to cut them out... Any chance I can inspect that myself when car is elevated with the jack?

If you replaced rubber bushings with polyurethane bushings the polyurethane are more rigid and doesn't give as much as rubber.

I would expect it to transmit more noise after fitting engine and gearbox poly bushes, less is being absorbed by the new bush, it's the point of them.
