I recently bought a used 2008 Mini Cooper Clubman S with ~70,000 miles.
The other day I heard a squeaking noise while I was driving and assumed I just didn't click the back seats all the way into place. However, when I drove with the windows down it was really loud. The chirping sound is definitely coming from the right side of the car. The noise only happens when the car is moving and the speed of the noise is dependent on the speed of the car, not the RPMs. The pitch does not change; it's the same whether I'm driving fast or slow. If I turn the steering wheel to the right, I can't hear the chriping, but it's loud when I'm driving straight or turn the wheel to the left.
I uploaded a video to YouTube in which you can hear the noise...I can't post the link, but it's titled "Mini Cooper Chirping" if you search on YouTube.
Please help! I want to fix this before it turns into more than just an annoying noise
Thank you!!
Amy
