Chirping Sound While Moving

I recently bought a used 2008 Mini Cooper Clubman S with ~70,000 miles.
The other day I heard a squeaking noise while I was driving and assumed I just didn't click the back seats all the way into place. However, when I drove with the windows down it was really loud. The chirping sound is definitely coming from the right side of the car. The noise only happens when the car is moving and the speed of the noise is dependent on the speed of the car, not the RPMs. The pitch does not change; it's the same whether I'm driving fast or slow. If I turn the steering wheel to the right, I can't hear the chriping, but it's loud when I'm driving straight or turn the wheel to the left.

I uploaded a video to YouTube in which you can hear the noise...I can't post the link, but it's titled "Mini Cooper Chirping" if you search on YouTube.

Please help! I want to fix this before it turns into more than just an annoying noise

Thank you!!
Amy

Did you get it cheap?...

Seriously though i've not heard a car making that noise before, and I've been driving since 1985. My best guess would be look at the brakes.

Jack the front up. Turn both wheels if it's just the right id say it's a bearing. Or some kind fault down there. have cheeked to make sure it ain't a stone stuck in the thread of the wheel yeah .

Thanks for the tips! I ended up taking my Mini to a shop this week and asking them to check the brakes and bearings. They said everything looked fine and the breaks and rotors are probably just low quality so the sound will come and go throughout the life of the brakes (there's about 1/2 left). I don't really buy that conclusion because the sound is getting worse and I can't believe a sound that bad isn't harming anything.

Upon doing more research, I think I might have a bad CV Boot. I'm hoping this is the issue because it shouldn't be too difficult of a fix and it should be covered by my extended warranty.

Hopefully I'll get to the shop again early this week to get the issue resolved!

Ive listened to the noise on your video, sounds bad, and the garage has said everything is fine? What? I suppose they said they tried all the others they had there and they all do it?
ha ha. doesnt sound like brakes to me.
If the brakes are squeaking slight pressure on the brake pedal as youre moving will normally remove it temporarily as you press the pedal.
Sounds like something is definitely rubbing metal on metal somewhere.
Maybe its the drive shaft support bearing going, but if its already been into MINI for the problem you'd have though they would have tried all the obvious whilst they were checking it???
