DSC Warning Light

Hello,

Got a bit of a problem with my Mini Cooper S 2002.

Very recently changed front offside wheel bearings (new hub)

At the time I couldn't remove the abs sensor as it was stuck so I replaced the bearings without removing it.(carefully)

Once I had the old hub removed I could see the bottom of the sensor and I cleaned it and replaced the new bearings.

Ever since the new bearing replacement every morning when we move off the driveway the dsc/abs warning light comes on for about 2 seconds and at the same time the car seems to brake then it clears and nothing else occurs for the rest of the day.

Weird, am I right in thinking I will need to remove and replace the abs sensor?

I believe the sensors are very critical to their air gap setting, if youve fitted a new hub with bearings and the dimensions are now only very slightly different due to casting and machining tolerances this might give the error you see??
Check the setting of the sensor to make sure its spot on.
