Velvet Cooper Problems with tires on my MINI CLUBMAN COOPER D AUTOMATIC

Hi, I have problems with the front tyres on my mini clubman cooper d automatic... the thing is that the front tires are "eaten" on side all the time... because when I'm cornering sometimes I even hit the rims, sometimes even i go straight (cant corner).... I reported this to the MINI service from the beginning because the problem was from the first day I bought the new car... anyone had the same problem

That should be nearly impossible if you have the right tyre pressure - are they OK and do you check them regularly?

That could be just that you are going too fast. But it could be caused by another problem - like very low front tyre pressures.

If you crash into the kerbs all the time, then your wheels and steering alignment will probably be out and this will give accelerated wear to the tyre edges, and also affect the general handling of the car.
Fit new tyres, have the car checked for damaged steering components, re aligned, and then keep away from the kerbs.

What did Mini say when you reported the problem? How many miles on the car and are you still on the original tires?
