Hi,

I have a similar problem with my 2007 Cooper S - Particularly with second gear sometimes. Is this an easy thing to do?

thanks!

yes mate just remove the airbox and you will see the linkages to the gearbox

put plenty of grease on them

hope you don't mind me bringing up your old thread again... but would you mind giving me a bit more of a guide? I'm a complete novice, but as long as its a matter of lubricating/greasing, then i'm pretty sure i can handle it... just not sure where i'm looking under the engine to find the linkages? I've read you have to take the battery & Battery holder out, and the airbox is underneath that, is that correct?

thanks!

If youre not sure about it then its best not to do it as you might end up with a mess you cant put back together??

I have an o2 mini one and gear changes are stiff from 1st to 2nd when she is cold, once she warms up the gears fine? I might try the greasing which you did and see if it helps! :-)
