Dodgy Alternator?, or probably a slipping alternator drive belt especially in wet/damp weather if the belts worn or not adjusted tight enough?

Revs go up because its stopped charging when the light is on.
Could still be a drive belt problem, and its worth checking the electrical connections to the alternator are clean and secure but could also be a diode problem in the alternator meaning its could be on its last legs.
Check the engine earth strap is in good condition and fixed securely too.
