Offline | Owner presets email from MINIUSA Ok, anyone that has a MINI on order get the email about owner presets? I got one, but the link you're supposed to follow to configure your presets doesn't seem to work for me...Hopefully it's just network traffic or a temporary problem and it will be active soon, I'm interested in seeing this! Offline | As I recall, a few people got this email last summer. It wasn't widespread but cool idea. Then it disappeared. I hope it's a trend. Indi Blue MCS, Born Sep-13 Sport, Premium, Roof Rack |

Offline | Re: Owner presets email from MINIUSA I got the email, I used the email link, I used the site to send in my preferences... Then the dealer called me a week before delivery to ask what my preferences were. Oh well! Side note - my programmed features are still are not quite correct, it's supposed to open all dors with one press but still doesn't do that. So evey after an email and a call, you'll still want to check out all the features in person anyway! ---> Kendall |

If you were going to your car late one night and you pressed the button and it opened all the doors, there's no prevention of having an intruder open the passenger door and get in to harm you. If you're alone and you only open the one door, you have a smaller chance of this happening. DS/DS MCS |

Offline | Re: Re: Re: Owner presets email from MINIUSA Well, rats. I'll have to check with teh dealer in Denver when I get home but I wouldn't be surprized to find that is the case... though the dealer did specifically ask me about that very feature, and the email asked the same question! So I still have some hope for having it work the way I like. Besides, I figure you could have him jump in the car and then hit the door lock again trapping him in the car - don't the doors refuse to open from the inside when locked with the remote? Not that I'd want to trap and angry intruder inside my MCS and see what he could do to the delicate inner surfaces! ---> Kendall |
