Thinking off having a cooper S

For a bit now I've been thing about having a cooper S, I have a Abarth 500 at present, but my wife keeps saying the mini is for female,s, I've got the chance of a nice S in red and a nice spec: how can I persuade her, she has her own car a mazda 2.

If the wife doesnt want you to have a MINI then best not too, or you will never hear the last of it, especially if it goes wrong, its just not worth the hassle.

A minor badge difference

Anyway, to the untrained eye - it's still a Fiat 500

what, there are men out there who actually listen and take notice of what there wife says ? whos got whos balls in the wrong place, go get one and tell her its only for a few months and you can sell it on for a profit, that's the one i use when i buy cars that are not cost effective toys to own like the BMW M5 and M3 that sudenly turned up on my driveway ,

I have a Fiat 500 1.2 for commuting and JCW for the rest, don't know where that leaves me? My commute is 16 miles a day and I can only go as fast as the traffic, so seemed a bit pointless using the Mini at 26 mpg compared to the Fiat at 45 mpg.

Must admit the 500 is a bit of a ladies car, (was going to say girls but refrained) but I can't knock it, it's a great little town car around London. The technology in it for a little car is really amazing. I.E. Bluetooth, voice commands, etc. got a really nice driving position for town driving, bit like the smart car there is very little bonnet in front of you. Not good for motorway driving though just too little power to get you out of any probs.

The after sales is rubbish though, not a touch on BMW. Even now my local dealer will pick up my Mini MOT it, wash it and bring it at no extra charge. After 7 years and I didn't even buy it from them.
