Hello and welcome to the site.
Best of luck with the rebuild, but I can't help feeling that you'd get more help and advice from a Mini classic site.

Hi - If your building a mini classic into a race car there is only ONE book to get - It's like a bible ' Building Preparing and Racing a Mini' by Bill Sollis - It has everything you would ever need to know

What type of race spec you hoping for at the end

R

Edit - P.S - Theres plenty of mini classic experience here as well I'm sure - I wonder how many MINI have a mini as well?

Sadly not me, here in the Northeast USA the classic mini is a rare breed, I can only ever remember seeing 2 in actual use in my entire life. I'd love to try one out just to have the experience.

Welcome to MINI2

Are you planning to get a MINI either as a replacement of your Mini or as an additional car in the future?

There's a review of anti rust products in this weeks Auto Express magazine. It's also on their website in the product test section. www.autoexpress.co.uk

THe thing with making a race prep out of a mini is the areas that normally rust get cut out to save weight anyway ! - or replaced with carbon panels so you actually end up saving yourself a job
