Looking to buy: Advice Needed - MINI Cooper Forum

Hello everybody, it's been a while since I've posted here.

I'm in the UK and am looking to purchase a used mini. I am conscious about fuel consumption so will probably be looking to purchase a One or Cooper D.

Should I be put off by high mileage? What should I be looking out for and what sort of money do you think I should be looking to spend to get a relatively good quality car?

Are the prices at the official dealerships over inflated?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Be very careful with the diesels, Ive had both a One D (05) and a Cooper D (57) and on both of them Ive had to spend thousands of pounds to repair the engines.
They were both bought at high mileage so if you do get one get a low mileage one.
They are so much fun to drive and look great too, you cant get anything else close to a mini.
Just be warned the engines arent the best! (well from my experience)
