AlloyGator

Our new Cooper S has black alloy wheels and its only a matter of time before the better half scuffs them on the kerb! (I'd never do anything like that )

I was thinking of buying some Alloygator's to try and protect them but thought I'd ask on here to see if anyone has used these and whether they're worth shelling out 60 quid for?? As I'm a newbie the forum won't let me post the www address but if you google "alloygator" their site should be top of the search results.

Yes I have used them and on my second set.....First set to original design had one 'gator' rip of at speed and damaged the indicator. Complained and was sent a second set of redesigned gators. Properly fitted (keep repeating that bit, its important) they are excellent and the customer service is good. Would not now travel without them.

Regards

For anyone who's interested....I fitted these last week and have had no problems.

They took a bit of effort to fit and it certainly took longer than the 1 hour estimate they suggest on their YouTube video. I also found it was easier to take the wheels off and and fit them on the floor but I think this may have been down to the strength of the run flat tyres rather than a problem with the Alloygators.

Another tip I'd give to anyone thinking of fitting them would be to use plenty of soap liquid on the sidewalls and rims to help the Alloygators slide into place.

Now they're fitted the wheels look fine and to the untrained eye it's difficult to even see they're fitted.
