Roof Numbers JCW GP USA ONLY?

It has just been announced that only the US market will get roof numbers for the JCW GP. Not sure how others feel about this but I think MINI now need to wake up and offer numbers for all 2000 JCW GP's and build numbers for the MINI Goodwood.

Maybe it helps them to count over there??
But yes, strange they felt the need to do it on all the first edition but not the second

Is there any reason why they aren't making them for any other market? Numbers really set a JCW off I reckon

So why the lack of numbers for the rest of the world? Based on what we’ve heard from sources, it’s due to certain large Asian markets and specific numbers being either lucky or unlucky. Why does it matter now when it didn’t in 2006 with the original? Two reasons. First the make-up of the sales will be more Asia focused due to the that market growing exponentially. Secondly the Euro economic crisis will likely soften sales there sending more cars elsewhere throughout the world.

I think the answer here is to get your production sequence number and get a decal made. Of course the USA numbers may clash because they have claimed 0-500 so their numbers wont match the production sequence.
