Done some searching and found a great breakdown of what updates were made and when. Reading this it seems the Conv from 2004 weren't refreshed until later on while the hatch was in 2006. I'm confused as my 2006 Conv has the older steering wheel and centre dash set up (manual blowers) yet other 2006 Conv I have noticed have the new versions? This anything to worry about? was it a chilli pack upgrade or something... Car was July 2006 reg if that helps.
The 1st Gen Hatchback was produced through November 2006. The 1st Gen Convertible was introduced with the 1st Gen "facelift" (July 2004 builds) and produced through July 2008.
It sounds like your Convertible has manual A/C while others you've seen have climate control A/C.
Regarding the steering wheel, are you referring to a standard wheel as opposed to a multifunction steering wheel which has cruise and radio controls on it?

Doesn't have AC even just manual dials, yes steering wheel is the two spoke normal one, thought the multi function one was a replacement rather than an upgrade. Comments much appreciated!!!
