To trade or not to trade?

Hi everyone, a relative newbie here. I have been a member for a while but very rarely posted. I tend to come here when I am stuck and you have always been great so I am pushing my luck again.

I currently have a 11 plate One on the select finance. My dealer called asking if I wanted to trade early and have offered me a Cooper with a 'special allowance' of £2369 as well as them paying £750 deposit for me which means that they will be putting £1200 to level out my existing finance and the rest is a deposit towards the cooper.

This seems like an ok deal to me and i would like to get back into a Cooper.

Am i missing something?

Two of my local dealers have called me with a similar offer on my 2011 Countryman Cooper D with the reason they need more used stock but personally I think they want to clear their new stock before the next new generation is released at the end of the year. If you are not too concerned about having the latest next generation model...... go for it. With the discount, deposit paid, low APR rates and by not having any credit arrangement fees you will be saving there.

thanks, on my initial look at the F56 (if thats what its going to be named/numbered) I'm not sure i'm overly keen but i'll reserve judgement until I see them in the flesh.

I'm happy with the current model cooper though and the deal does sound pretty good.
I've arranged to go into see the dealer tomorrow so we'll see what happens.

Its just an incentive to get you to trade in

They get a used car and sell a new car - Win win for them

Just make you check the figures

but it suits me too otherwise I wouldn't do it.

I know this dealer very well. he has made some 'mistakes' in the past so I check everything - twice!
