New Zealand Replacement Key

Hi again, when I purchased my mini it only came with one key.. Have rang around here in New Zealand and it's going to cost us GBP 219.41, just wondering where do you guys buy yours? One guy I rang stupidly told me they import them in so I'm thinking of importing it in myself... What are your thoughts?
Cheers
Pescha

For security reasons replacement/spare keys are only available from MINI Dealers on proof of ownership but in UK they are nearer £150 for a remote key.
Non-remote keys are much cheaper at around £40 from memory.
Mk1 Mini keys have to be programmed to the car by dealer (+0.5 hour labour) while Mk2 Mini keys come ready programmed from MINI HQ.
