Mini Delivery

I ordered a Mini Cooper SD in mid February and I have been told by the dealer that it now built and awaiting transportation. Does anybody know how long this usually takes?

I am in the UK, by the way.

I ordered my MCS end of January and was given last week as my build week, so hopefully sitting awaiting transportation. Dealer had hoped for a mid-March handover, but I think it's going to be towards the end of the month realistically as could sit for a couple of weeks waiting transportation.

Ordered mine around Xmas - took delivery last week (1st week of March)

Ordered my cooper on the 4th Feb, dealer says w/c 25th March for delivery

Probably takes longer to get your new UK built mini to your dealer in the UK than a foreign built countryman to the UK. I recall being quoted 2 weeks from build complete. Three months seams to be about the average time from placing order to taking delivery. It would be fun if you could opt to collect from the factory like I believe BMW do in Germany or at least they used to.

It would but I bet the dealers wouldnt be so keen, as it would do them out of the PDI inspection and valleting costs.

Had an update on my car - build was delayed for some reason, originally meant to be week of 4th March, but only went into build this week. Now complete and waiting transport, when I was speaking to the dealer today they're estimating week of 1st April delivery to them, then a few days for prep etc.

So that's less than two weeks from build to delivery - have you had any update on yours yet Chris?

Happened to be down at the compound where all new cars for the dealership group (MINI, BMW, VW, SEAT, Skoda, Audi) are stored and I've never seen it so full - maybe just the March registrations thing.

At least the weather might be better......
