Best wishes MiNiGuY and best of luck!

I always said that the worst thing about the MINI is the link with BMW - at least from a business point of view. Shame to see my opinion backed up by facts.

Thanks for your help so far - very much appreciated.

Re: Goodbye MINI, Goodbye BMW - I'm out of here!!

Woah!

Well, I have to thank you for the insight you've given us into MINI and its workings, and taking the time to go check things and bring us back answers - I for one have appreciated your quality posts.

Good luck finding yourself a new job; I don't know how things are in your industry, I hope it's not as depressed as mine (IT).

Its a shame that companies such as BMW don't appreciate and encourage hard working people who actually enjoy their jobs.

I can only echo the other comments here, your posts are always informative, detailed and above all, genuinely useful and interesting. Thanks

the MINI has gone...

Appreciation

MiNiGuY, your contribution and presense here is invaluable to us, and we are grateful for everything you've done for us, and for BMW and MINI. It really seems shortsighted of them to let you go, and I agree with everyeone here: it's their loss.

I'm especially glad, though, that you will still be a part of our community, on line and among the world's family of MINI fans. And, maybe we can now ask you the questions that have always frustrated us, for which we've hoped for answers from BMW or MINI.

Thank you again for being here among us, and for all that you do.

Warmly,
wynn

I want to echo those sentiments, you were a great help to us all when something confusing and uncertain came up, you will be sadly missed, and I hope that we will see you in here as often as possible in the future.

Thanks for all your help, I mean that sincerely !

Aiden.

MiNiGuY, you have become yet another casualty of the great British upper-management fiasco!!

Man-management? Wouldn't know what it was if it hit them!!

Good luck in whatever you decide to do and fair play to you for sticking to your morals and walking away!

I'm sure some of the true stories you will have to tell won't suprise me too much!

I work in UK comercial vehicle manufacturing!

MiNiGuY -

Sorry that you and the company parted ways. I can understand why you left. I've always appreciated the information you've posted, and I'll be glad to read anything you might decide to post from here on out.

But, please, for your sake, don't be too inflammatory. Every car company has it's horror stories (I recall GMs being built with Oldsmobile body panels on one side, and Buick panels on the other). I've got a friend who used to work for a BMW supplier in South Carolina, and some of his stories are amazing -- but not for public consumption.
