JCW vs Cooper SD?

Hello all,

Sorry for asking this question but I need advice from current owners.

I am looking into buying a 2010/2011 JCW or Cooper SD hatches, I have it narrowed down to two cars but cannot decide between them so hopefully can get some owners feedback.

1) What are the realistic MPG figures from either car? I have seen and laughed at the factory figures so I could do with real world figures.

2) Other than the engine difference, is the handling/suspension similar?

3) Reliability? Any known issues with either car? I know about the death rattle of the JCW but is that all that affects the car?

4) Does spec matter? The JCW has media/nav/HK but the SD has everything else, is it worth going for higher spec?

I think that is all for now, I might think of other questions but I want to go with a bit more knowledge this weekend when I have the car's both sat next to each other.

48mpg for my SD, over 15,000 miles, thrashing the **** off it pretty much all the time - my work takes my down lots of totally deserted country roads/lanes, so that's probably as low as an SD goes.

Depends if your after higher smiles per gallon or not.
JCW more aggressive and pop and farts like the fast ones should.
SD is quick and smoother with more miles to the £.

When deciding on a Coupe I struggled between Cooper S or Cooper SD, but couldn't live without the racket that the Cooper S ( JCW and GP's ) make. It just add a whole level to the experience. Plus they are quicker :-)

Well with any luck, I pick up my JCW today!

I looked at them both side by side but the JCW was cheaper, lower miles and a LOT better spec(media pack, HK, spots etc) than the SD.

I shall post pics when it is home
