Southampton - Reliable Mechanic Sought

Hi I am a new joiner from Southampton, Uk. Actually it is my daughter who owns the mini - Red Mini One Convertible with white stripes, 2005.

It was great during the summer with all the lovely sunshine, but the recent deluge (it's been raining here continually for about the last month) seems to have caused electrical problems. Specifically:
1 - headlights permanently on (and no setting to turn them off)
2 - rear windows both stuck in up position, won't move down no matter how many times the toggle button is pressed (fuse is fine)
3 - soft top gets stuck retracting, won't go past sunroof position (yes I have checked the microswitch in the back)
4 - front passenger window leaves a one mm gap between trim, rain is getting in (yes the windows have been "reset")

Would really appreciate if anyone local (Southampton/Portsmouth area) can recommend a reliable mechanic or vehicle electrician. Would prefer to avoid main dealer spanking :aargh:

Thanks all

Water in the electronic control module or connectors supporting it. Word of advice avoid driving into puddles.

I live in Southampton too. Best course of action is to either visit Bartley or Brystone (Both reputable BMW specialist) and have a word with them. If you manage pinpoint the problem, then Radcliffe garage is a cheaper alternative.
