Question climate control problems

Hi all. I have a 2002 cooper with climate control and when I press the button for directing thr airflow to your feet it comes out of the vents on the windscreen, absolutely no air coming out of the footwell vents at all. Any suggestions anyone.

Sounds like one of the small servo motors/actuators which control the heater/air con vent directional flaps on climate control Mini's has failed. There are 3 but all are accesible without removing major parts of dash.

Diagrams here (RH drive heater/air con unit is mirror image) :

Thanks I'll take a look tomorrow. Ive found the arm and mechanism in the drivers footwell but it disapears up behind the steering wheel somewhere and I can't get at it.
