| MINI2 Newbie | I see a lot of SUVs but very few minis - and I'm in pretty big city ---hint - Popular target of terrorists in the east coast, next to New Jersey. I've seen 3 parked minis - but never a moving one. I figure its only a matter of time before everyone drives a mini, so why hurry it. ![]() |

| MINI2 Regular | NJ: The MINI State There are three I see on a weekly basis here on the Jersey Shore: a yellow/white MC (always parked in the Chili's parking lot @ Monmouth Mall...maybe an employee...or someone who loves to eat at Chilis!), as well as a red/white MCS also at the mall. Once, they actually parked together in a single parking space! Was a neat sight to see. Also, there is a dark silver/dark silver S that I saw pulled over by the cops in the town of Sea Bright. So, yea, lots of Mini sightings in Jersey...with two dealers in our state (Morristown and Princeton) and each one pulling in at least 40 orders a month, it's no wonder there are so many around these parts. - |

| MINI2 Regular | i was experiencing the same thing. i've had my S for 2 weeks here in Atlanta, since then i've seen 4 parked ones. and all on Georgia Tech campus. never anywhere else. today i was taking alunch break, and you know, i saw a CR/White bits S, an IB/White bits Cooper, and a Black/black bits S all within 10 minutes. and all the Mini's on GT campus disappeared! i waved to everyone, but i don't think they all saw me, some were motoring around looking for a parking spot. but the three ladies in the CR/White S were very enthusiastic :-) did i see anyone on Mini2? |

| MINI2 Regular | Hi duboy! Wow, did you fly into Newark/NYC and then drive the MINI home to GA? What a trip that must have been....brand new MINI and you've put close to 1K miles on it the very first day. How did it handle the long periods of 70-75+ highway driving? (Better still...how did you hold up with such a long drive!) Did you take I-81 South down to Knoxville? I drove from Jersey to Athens, GA back in college...great place that Athens... Good luck with your MINI. Mighty Boognish (intrigue182) And you are correct, there are 3, count'em 3 MINI dealers in Jersey then. Plus Manhattan MINI and Philly MINI are right around the corner. It's a MINI Pentagon around these parts. No pun intended...being that's the name of the engine... Rock On! |

| MINI2 Regular | Intrigue, yeah my family lives in NY, so i flew back over THanksgiving and drove the MINI down to GA. i was a bit worried at first, putting so many miles on the car. i varied my speed between 55 and 75, shifted from 5th to 6th often (every few minutes) and i stopped a lot. usually it takes me about 13.5 hours, this trip took 16.5. The car handled it very well, and i now have 1800 miles on the clock and it is still smooth, power is nice etc. i took 287 -> 78 -> 81 -> 77 -> 85. or something like that. it's nice, avoids the huge cities.....i used to take 95...then i found out the RIGHT way to go :-) i have to ask, you a UGA graduate? I just gradumicated from Tech a few months ago :-) i like Athens a lot as well. once in a while i drive there with friends for the day, nice change. |

Offline | I had a funny thing happen: I haven't seen a MINI on the road for weeks. Last night while on I264, I remarked that I hadn't seen one for over a month. Before the words were even out of my mouth, a light silver one zoomed by. Bob "Go not to the elves for counsel for they will say both no and yes." JRR Tolkien |

Offline | Saw one at Valley Forge just a few weeks ago... When I was driving my car home from NY, I was passing through New Jersy and stopped at Valley Forge. As I was waiting to make a turn, a dark silver MCS driven by a woman drove past and even flashed her lights at me! Oddly, it was the only other MINI I saw the whole trip, from NY to Colorado. Thanks whoever you were, it made my day to have my first other MINI sighting from my own MINI be so great. ---> Kendall |
