Exclamation Mini Cooper Catches me on fire and you won't believe what CAUSES IT!!!

I drive a 2009 Mini Cooper S Convertible. I love it. I just wish it would stop trying to torch me. Here is a video I shot, only after I figured out the smoke was coming from ME!:

That is really strange, although I'm not sure which is stranger, that your car lights you on fire or that there's enough sun in San Francisco to generate the needed heat.

Strange indeed. The sun needs to be strong and low in the sky. So a normal wet January day in San Francisco would be safe. However, this drought we are having provides plenty of sunshine.

Anyone else have this issue? Trying to see if my car has a defect, or are all 2009s capable of igniting.
