HELP please!!! R56 steering issues

Basically i clipped a curb with my passengers side front wheel at low speeds , no serious cosmetic damage to the wheels , just the same wheel is majorly out with tracking and my power steering is completely off , i have taken the wheel off and cannot see any damage , there is no play in it what so ever , the amber light with a steering wheel and an exclamation mark came up on my dash also , as i said the only thing i can see is the left side wheel is slightly to the left , iv booked in for tracking and tires tomorrow but would like to have some sort of idea what is wrong before hand .
All help appreciated thanks.
Josh

Hi ya

it sounds like you need the tracking and geometry checked, get the steering angle sensor re calibrated/checked if possible.
but TBH it does sound like you have bent something or damaged the steering rack :-( hopefully not.
you could try the disconnect the battery leave it for 30 min trick see if the fault clears. but if its stored a code it will need to be cleared
but i think you are going to need a trip to the stealers :-(

hope this helps
