Hydrauilc engine mount (driver side)

Hello to all i install about a month ago h&r springs (red one) they are excelent not much different from stock but the problem is:after i install them the hudrauilic engine mount explode,i put a new one and after 20 days the new explode again. can anyone explain me this please ?

Never heard of that happening before......the ride will be harsher on your new springs but should not affect the engine mounts....

Hi ya

You could have just been un lucky, I take it your not jacking the car up on the sump case, people my laugh but I have seen it.

Before fitting your new mount, I would check the condition of other mounts,
Just Incase they are worn and causing it to overload the hyd engine mount causing it to fail.
Personally I would buy a vibra tec engine mount I run a full set on mine there much better.

When you fit the new mount make shore there is no side loading on it and it sits in its natural position

United-States Uneven load on mounts?????

OMG..... can't believe what "Marque" said in the post above mine! PPL actually use the sump pan as a lift point?????????? Dang people go to Mini and get the work done!

Yes it was common for 'quick fit' tyre fitting bays to jack the old classic Mini's up from under the alloy sump/gearbox......but the engine mounts were never designed to take the full weight of the car!
