Thought you may want to know we'll be leaving for Daytona tonight. Both of the Minis are completed, loaded on the trailer and ready for the race track. Come by and have a look. This is an Official Grand Am event marking the professional debut of the new generation Mini Cooper S. Our first race is January 31st at Daytona and we'll be competing against the worlds best. Good luck Tony. What size are the tires you're running? They fill the wheel wells up pretty good. 225/40/17 perhaps?

I plan on being there for the test day on Friday, hopefully I can stop by and check out the 2 cooper s's.

Do you know if the testing will be televised? I assume that some part of the race itself (Jan 31) will be on ESPN Speedvision.

Gand Am Cup Rules

The tire size for the MCS is 225/45/17

Grand Am test days are not televised but the entire season, 11 races will be televised on Speed Channel. In 2002 we had a Saturday 5PM and 6PM time slot usually two weeks after the race weekend. This gave them time to edit the 3 hour race down to a 1 hour show including commercials.
