Question Information about visibility pack

I'm new in this forum and i will present myself when i got my mini (i will add pictures), but for now i search some information about visibility pack, i found poorly information about this . so, this option cost 850$CAD and i want to be sure that it's interesting and usefull. Did somebody had problem or issues with the option ? Is it usefull and do you think it worth the price

Different countries have options, which may or not be the same as here in the UK, or the same be called something else?
I dont think there is a visibility pack option here, not sure.
But I would think it would be something like Heated front screen, heated mirrors, Xenon lights perhaps, you need to find a dealer in your country and go and ask them, and if they put the vehicle details into their computer they could tell you exactly what the vehicle had when ordered?

That's the HUD option that can be fitted to 2014 Hatchbacks. Not visibility pack.

As people have pointed out it varies from country to country and also the year. There have been visibilty packs from 2003 on I believe and they have come and gone depending on the wim of marketing. My 2010 visibility pack as far as I can remember was heated screen, auto wipers, auto dipping interior mirror, xenon lights and cornering assistance lights. Four years on I am very happy I ordered it. However 850$CAD is not enough to cover all of this so as also pointed out earlier take the registration of the car you are interested in to a dealer and they can print out the (individual) options that car has.

Some people are like a Slinky ........ not really good for anything, but you still can't help
but smile when you shove them down the stairs

in canada, the visibility package currently means:
rear view camera, head(s)-up display, park assist.

i did decide on this package merely for the “heads-up display” as it has been pointed out that whoever needs assistance for parking should not drive a mini - and i agree. *grin*
we also have a BMW with this feature and i love it. however, i had to learn (after the fact) that the head/s-up display in the mini is a different thing as it uses a separate see-through screen above the console to display the various infos whereas the BMW projects this onto the windscreen. since i have not yet seen the display in person (only on youtube), i truly hope that this is not some gimmicky thing that i will regret. this current option also forces the (canadian) buyer to opt for various other packages…
while i understand that this has a lot to do with the wiring, the never-ending re-packaging of options that i am seeing is ridiculous - not only between countries but also from 1 year to the next. the options currently featured on the website are already not reflecting the options (and prices) for 2015 any longer. in some ways this makes me think that the mini is very much an after-thought for BMW.

in any event, i hope i was able to provide some information re: you question.

Mine has a visibility pack, heated front screen, xenon lights, auto dimming interior mirror, rain sensing wipers, and is great with it.

(Car was in classifieds, and also has the chrono pack (oil pressure & temperature gauges), chilli pack, and LSD, 35k and significantly more power thanks to K&N, Kent Cams, GTT pulley and just had the I/c. Also Autologic, Pristine Wheels, and Federal RSR's. Plus a Jap Parts s/s side exit fitted cat back fitted today, but a bit loud for me haha. maybe i'll get used to it, others seem to like it though. On car adjustable coilovers still boxed, because it has Sport Plus anyway.) Black car, black leather, and chrome with sparkle wheels.

Don't know whether to renew ad yet or not, kind of owes a lot now and has barely been used so may as well leave it where it is for now.

Anyway.....Not many had the visibility pack, but in the U.K. it's perfect, especially in the coming months.

Must be what mines got then.
You would never know you had the heated screen without being told and then finding the switch.
Works a treat though but we only had about 4 nights frost last winter nod I drove the X3 then.
