Obviously they'll check (properly I hope!) the car over from top to bottom but does anyone know exactly what items are checked and also if the dealer roadtests the car?

e.g. I have asked about the sunroof rattle hoping that if there is one they will fix it prior to me picking the car up.

Just asked my son, he works in a Ford main dealer, he said:

Typical service without changing anything. Check all fluid levels, tyre pressures, wheel nuts, wheel bearings, brakes, seatbelts, switches, road test and any recalls. As he said, they follow a routine so nothing usually gets missed. Even down to tuning the radio stations in.

Sounds like we should have confidence in a PDI, anybody found anything different?

so assuming that MINI do their PDis in much the same way then recall issues should be dealt with prior to delivery.

The only thing now is what recalls have there been and was the rattling sunroof one?

I think it's all listed in the service record that comes with the car. could be wrong...

Monsta - your right, the first few pages detail everything which is done during the PDI. It includes checking all lights including the interior lights but my footwell lights still didn't work when I picked up the car! Ho hum!
