Older Minis

Hey! So.. I've been completely in love with minis for a long time, but I don't like the ones after 90s. But i also don't want to own a too old car hence a constant project (don't have any experience on cars). So my question is, are there any really good models in the 90s minis? I would love to have the 1996 Mini Cooper 1.3i, but it's quite impossible to find any information on the internet on it's characteristic faults (if there are any).
If you can think of certain models that have that older aesthetics but are not from the 70s, pls share your knowledge! Thank you

Youre on the wrong forum for the classic old fashioned mini, this if for the modern MINIs although some here do own both admitted.

Also try asking on 'The Mini Forum' link below but remember all classic Mini's up to year 2000 are at least 14 years old now and prone to rust.....plus prices are rising for the good or restored ones that are left.
