new mini diesel issue.

Hi i am new on here just really doing some searching, i have had a mini cooper d brand new model on order and was due to collect it on saturday, however i have now been informed that i wont be able to have this due to deliveries being stopped because of an issue with the diesels. Has anyone else heard this or can shed any light cos mini certainly arent??

No, but is it the 2014 latest model, maybe they have an engine supply problem??

would have thought the engine supply shouldnt effect this as i was due to collect in under a week??

Mini have described the problem with F56 Doopers as an 'acoustic issue'. I've seen a report that they are advising dealers not to exceed 1500 miles on their diesel demonstrators.

So maybe the 'acoustic issue' is that after 1500 miles you can hear the engine blowing up.....

Ah well there you are then, engines no good, you might be getting it for the summer hopefully, not a good start really is it? all that extensive testing around the world and it goes wrong once the customer has just got it.
Sounds like a thing of the 60's, where they let the customer do the road testing and find all the faults.
Best cancel and reorder a last of the line Gen 2, at least thats sort of sorted by now.
