I got my Cooper on Thursday, January 9, and went to the World of Wheels show in Chattanooga on Friday the 10th to meet Verne Troyer, the actor who played Mini Me in the Austin Powers movies. What a nice guy! I had to stand in line for a good while, and I watched Verne smile and talk and interact with every adult, child, and even the guy who came dressed as Dr. Evil.
For the record, Verne says he loves the MINI.
If any of you are interested in meeting him, he has a busy schedule coming up. It's online here . To save you guys from having to go look it up, here's the list of his upcoming appearances from that site.

I'm attaching a photo of Verne signing my owner's manual. He and I both got a kick out of that.
And finally, I debated where to place this thread. I had posted Verne's Chattanooga appearance in the Meetings and Events forum, but the General Discussion forum seemed more appropriate for the outcome of the event. I'm sure a moderator will help me put it in the appropriate forum if I've erred.
MINI Cooper Cabrio: now the car with go cart handling really feels like an open go cart! "... the only man that can come home at 3 am in the morning without getting into trouble with his spouse is the owner of a British sports car!" -- Phil Bailey
ahh, what a cute little guy... . It would be cool if he does own a mini also. So did he kinda sound funny when he talked, cuz in the movies he never spoke a word. Too bad he doesn't come to Canada! I wanna see the lil' fella too!
I don't believe he has a Mini, but he does admire them. To be honest, I'd be surprised if he can drive. He's 2' 8" tall, so he'd need a highly modified car to be able to see the road, reach the controls, steer, and all that goes with driving. I bet he's chauffeured in style these days.
His voice is very clear and understandable, but since his vocal cords are small he sounds a little like he's breathed some helium. It's not a child's voice.
The main impression he made on me was how nice he was. Poor guy sat there signing autographs for four hours, and he smiled at and spoke to every person who came to see him. After standing in line for so long, my first words to him were "You have the patience of Job." The guy's got class.
I sure would love to meet him! I'd have him sign some bonnet stripes, though, and then clearcoat over them! Maybe try to get the whole cast on there! Awesome!!! Glad you met him!
