My new S!

Hi!

Just bought myself a Cooper S, 2006, 45K, FSH, quite a big spec - think it's a pretty cool car to have at 18! Absolutely mint, not a mark on it.

The car pulls pretty damn hard - the supercharger whine is really pronounced and high pitched - sounds like the pulley has been changed.. how can I know?
Is there anything I can do to check

Thanks!

Hello & welcome, if you take a look at the supercharger pulley a standard one is black in colour & one piece with a diameter of around 65mm an aftermarket pulley will be around 10mm smaller & most likely have 3 or 4 small allan bolts on the front. If the air filter has been changed that can give you more whine too

Bet your insurance is a small fortune on that at 18? some companies wont touch you on an S under 21, and some 25!
