Question Why are there no F56 Minis about ?

Does anyone know how the F56 is selling ? I have only seen 2 on the road since the launch and would have expected to see more by now. I am no fan of the new model and despite all the great reports in the press find the car unbelievably ugly. The one F56 I"ve soon is a white MCS which does look slightly betterthan it does in the photos . No offence to any F56 owners as I"m sure its a great car to drive but personally I just dont like what theyve done to the back or the front of the car . So how are the buying public reacting to the new car . Are they flying out of the showrooms but just not in middle England ? Are there supply issues or are people put off by a car that whilst is a huge technological leap over the last one is not so attractive . I"d love to hear views please ?

Never seen one yet either even though I live down the road from a MINI garage, Id have thought Id see some out for test drives, but I havent.

Or maybe they just dont stand out as being different and I havent noticed?

I don't think they stand out as much as you would expect. Seen a couple myself now where I live driving around Nice to see some newbies, guess they are few and far spread at the moment though. I know of people still buying R56 instead of the new F56 currently, could also be due to no know really knows how the F56 will stand over time ( reminder of the old N14 engine rattle issues ). Who knows what could crop up, but hopefully nothing !

Quite a few to be seen around London but as said in reality the average non-Mini enthusiast would not notice the difference! A guy at work has a brand new F56 in the same colour as his previous R56 and it is only me that has actually noticed he has a new car!

It took quite a while for the MINI Countryman to become a common sight but now seem to be on every street around here.

I suppose thats good in a way as it means the existing older models arent immediately noted as being outdated and old fashioned.
Can only be good for holding secondhand values up a bit longer.

Surely, though, most of us on here would class ourselves as MINI enthusiasts, and would be the ones to notice the new model?
I've only seen a couple myself (despite seeing a transporter load being delivered to my local dealer a few weeks ago), and I think they look different enough for you to notice.

I think the main reason for the lack of F56s on the road is due to the big delivery delays being experienced. My delivery date was pushed back 8 weeks. Thankfully I hadn't ordered a diesel which would have meant an even longer delay.

I have an F56 they are easily recognisable, with the large daylight lights ring round the headlight which only turn off when the side lights are on.

The lack of sales maybe due to a high discount given on the old Cooper S
I have only seen two others both volcanic orange as mine is.

No complaints the car's great and love it.
The only fault I can find the start /stop sometime triggers and will not always
auto restart. Which just reminds you to cancel it, while the engine is running.
Best feature rear camera and auto park.

There are some around, but I suspect one sees them and doesnt realise its the latest model, I saw one the other day and had nearly walked by before I noticed the new headlights and thought hey thats one of the new ones, they dont tend to stand out as much as I thought they would initially from the old model.
