My drivers main beam bulb will not go out

Hi there everyone i was wondering if anyone has had this problem before i went to start my car one morning and the battery was flat so i went to buy a car battery booster pack which my car started up first time but for some reason my drivers side main beam light will not turn off some times it stays on or it will flash off and on anybody have a clue thanks .

Why did you buy a booster pack? did you know the battery was a good one, fairly recent, so knew it cant be just a battery fault?
MINI electrical systems can go haywire if the battery voltage keeps dropping below a certain point.

Assuming that you have Xenon lights, it could be the Xenon bulb itself or the ballast. Also, if you have a car with a sunroof, check for water ingress down to the FRM ECU which is located in the passenger side footwell.

If you have access to a BMW scan tool (not a generic one mind you), then you should check for errors on the FRM. The computers are capable of logging such intermittent errors.

I had a similar problem on my 07 R56, which disappeared after fixing the sunroof drains. Go figure...
