Avoid flying pots and pans, steak knives etc and drag her into the car for a long test drive (not metaphor). Make sure it's a Saturday where plenty of people can see you - there's nothing like making you feel good than having complete strangers smile and wave at you like some sort of pop star.

She'il come round after 2 miles or so....

Ok, To make such a statement in an open forum makes you, let me see...oh yes....An Idiot !.

Secondly, lack of communication is the main reason 2 out of three marriages fail...so that would make you...ummm....an idiot.

Thirdly, there's obviously something wrong with your relationship that you wouldn't make such a decision jointly. That makes you both idiots......

Bye the way we've been married for 22years, 3 kids big dog, exotice snake, fish etc. the min is just another chapter!!!!

Be up front and say that it is something you decided on.

Heck, if she doesn't understand/love you/laugh with you then you probably married the wrong person.

Tell her before it arrives or you will have to give it to her as a present - but do you think that she will believe you
