I've had this little beastie for a while now, and while no car is perfect I just wanted to post the positives.
No vehicle I've ever owned has made me smile like this one. I look forward to the morning commute as well as any excuse to put on another mile. I have had more fun conversations in parking lots with strangers in the last two months than the last 20 years. This MINI is bringing people together. Kids in other cars wave, other MINI drivers share a smile or wave or a flash as we cruise down the road. Co-workers want to go for a ride. The fun this car possess shows itself in a new way everyday.
My Dealer (Northwest MINI) has proven to deliver the best buying experience ever. They are part of the MINI community and genuinely care that you are a happy motorer. I get free stuff in the mail, I get calls on the phone for my opinion and feedback. If I have a problem it gets resolved. I have always experienced that once the money crosses the counter you on your own, not with my MINI, not with Northwest MINI.
The community around this car, MINI2, local clubs, etc, share something that is bringing strangers into a group.
Twice now I have been approached my Suburban drivers, wondering about this half-their-size car. Last night it was at the gas station, as I put 11.1 gals after 287 miles, he looked in the boot and said, "wow that's IS all you really need". I explained that I used to have an SUV, and if I really need the capacity for the day, I'll rent it, he agreed. I think he may call MINI.
Cars are machines, machines are not perfect, but the Community, dealers and the experience of the MINI, make this the best machine around.
